About Leon "Lee" Blahnik


 Lee Blahnik is a "Vietnam Era" military veteran (1966-70) who proudly served as a U.S. Air Force medic.  From 1967 through 1970, Lee was stationed at Chanute AFB, Rantoul, Illinois.  He was assigned to Chanute Hospital where, in 1968, Lee was appointed NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge) of the hospital's nursery and delivery ward.

With a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Library Science, Lee served the public sector as English teacher, school librarian and school technology administrator.  When he retired in 2001, Lee was Director of  Technology and Media for the Oshkosh Area School District, Wisconsin's 10th largest.  In 1985, Lee briefly left public education to join Wisconsin Public Television as Manager of Corporate Development.
